PFK Won the Supplier of the year Award in the Electrical Category at the GMSA Supplier of the Year Awards function held in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on the 31st March 2010.

This is our 4th Supplier of the Year Award from GMSA in 5 years which is quite an achievement. GM has hunderds of Suppliers and only a selected few ever manage to win just one award. The award is not really about "beating the Competition" but rather acknowledgement by GM of meeting their exact standards of supply in a specific category, but to get this acknowledgement for our efforts, ahead of our Competitors, year after year, is quite an achievement. Well done to everyone involved at PFK ! it is really your award and thank you for your efforts and dedication.

AUTOWATCH - WAB system operates on the basis that the driver of a vehicle provides a breathe sample into a wireless alcohol breathalyser "WAB". The breathe sample is used to verify whether the driver of the vehicle is under or over the specified legal alcohol limit. The WAB then transmits a signal to a vehicle blocking system "VBS" which decodes the signal. If the driver is under the legal limit the blocking system will disarm the immobiliser which will allow the vehicle to start. However, should the driver be over the legal limit, the vehicle will remain in the immobilised state. Through this process alcohol impaired drivers are prevented from circulating on public roads and endangering the safety of others and reducing accidents with dire financial implications.
